About our Lake Shelbyville Lakehouse Rental Home

Our Lake Shelbyville lakehouse rental home sits on 62.5 acres right on the lake, overlooking Country Club Cove. The 2000 sf unit is 40 yards from the water’s edge with natural walking paths down to the lake. Public boat launches and 2 parks are a 7-10 minute drive from the property.  The north entrance to the Dacey Trail bike and walking paths are 1/4 mile from the property entrance.  Horseback riding on the property is allowed with prior approval only.

Space includes galley kitchen and a large open family room with pit group furniture.  3 bedrooms contain queen beds and bedroom sets for storage. 1 bedroom has a full bed and 1 futon with bedroom set for storage.  Unit has 2 restrooms with double vanities and 1 shower/laundry room with washer and dryer. Unit comes with full open cement patio with pit group, beautiful view of the lake, charcoal grill and convenient parking next to both entries.

This property is located 2 miles north of the city of Shelbyville and is surrounded on 2 sides by Army Corps of Engineers forest, 1 side by the lake and 1 side by farm fields. It adjoins the property which has the Dacey walking and bike trails, with access to the trails one quarter mile from the property entrance.  2 genuinely nice parks are a 7-10-minute drive (20-30 on bike). The City park (Forest Park) includes the south entrance to the trail, a first-class swimming/wading pool, picnic area, playgrounds and a classic Chautauqua.  The federal park and recreation area (Dam West) set on the lake, next to the dam and includes a sand beach/swimming area, beach volleyball court, playground, picnic shelters and boat launch.  Weekend activities are scheduled nearly every week throughout the summer at both parks.  There are 3 marinas on the lake offering fuel, bait, ice, refreshments and some services.  Boat mechanic services are available by land within 1/2 hour of property.

Owners may or may not be on site during your visit.  Owners occupy the upper level of the home, when on property.
